NOIDA: Officials of Noida Authority and UP-Rera on Friday held a meeting to discuss delivery of houses and homebuyers’ grievances through reconciliation. The meeting was attended by CEO, Noida Authority, Alok Tandon, Rera chairman Rajive Kumar and Rera member Balvinder Kumar. The UP-Rera bench in Greater Noida will become functional from September 4.
Last week, a delegation of UP-Rera visited Maharashtra to study the way the homebuyers’ issues were resolved there since it was one of the progressive states in terms of real estat development. Kumar said that Maharashtra Rera had 2,000 compaints about the projects. “The Rera intervened in the matter and brought the homebuyers and developers on the same table for discussion. They resolved 1,800 complaints through reconciliation and the projects were successfully delivered. We have decided to adopt the same method to deliver project dellivery in Uttar Pradesh,” he said.
